The Darwin Railway Club, situated in the cosy tropical suburb of Parap, is one of the oldest Social Clubs in Darwin, with a rich and colourful history. Originally a Social and Workers club for the men and women who worked on the now defunct local Darwin Railway Line, the Club has transformed over the decades to become a popular venue with all walks of life from the Darwin community, and one of the leading live music venues in the Territory, hosting iconic local, interstate and international touring musicians, bands and artists. Known for famously taking a stand against employing topless barmaids, and the relentless work of dedicated volunteers and community members who passionately rebuilt the venue after a fire nearly destroyed the club in 2009, the club has gone from strength to strength. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the Night Club strip in the city centre, with it's tropical and relaxed atmosphere, the Darwin Railway Club is continuing to gain respect as one of Darwins' hidden gems. Every Wednesday is Swing Dancing Night from 7.00pm. Come along and learn to swing dance with some of Darwins' leading Swing Dancers in a friendly environment, backed by the Hot n Cold Big Band and the Jigsaw Collective. $10 entry. $5 for Railway Club Members.

Every Thursday is the Members Badge Draw from 6.00pm, be at the club during the draw, to win up to $1000 cash!

The Railway Club pool tables are free, every day of the year.

The Railway Kitchen serves up Gourmet Wood Fired Pizzas and a comprehensive menu of affordable, high quality Pub Grub all year round. We can also cater for your functions with that extra something special, upon enquiry. Enjoy your meal in the comfort of our air conditioned indoor dining area, or the relaxed tropical surroundings of our welcoming beer garden.

The Railway Club Kitchen is open from 6.00pm to 9.00pm Wednesdays to Saturdays.

Our Beer Garden is one of a kind. Full of native tropical plants and wildlife, and adorned with historical and bespoke artifacts. Enjoy a beer or dinner in a true Territory outdoor experience.

The Darwin Railway Club can accomodate your next function with an indoor seating capacity of 120 people, and a total capacity of 210 people including our tropical Beer Garden.
